The foundation is established to raise funds and donate scholarships to members of the Buffalo city community.

The community celebrates Walter C Hobson Day
February 2, 2019 was declared Walter C Hobson day by officials of Erie County, City of Buffalo and Western New York.
This day is now celebrated annually across the local community.
